What hardware do I need?

Silvertrac is a completely cloud-based solution, so no special hardware is needed.

At the minimum, all you will need is:

  • Computer (Windows or Mac) with Internet access.
  • Android or Mac (iPhone / iPad / iTouch) mobile phone or tablet.

Does your software work on iPhone or Android devices?

Silvertrac works with most newer smart devices including any:

  • Android / Windows Tablet with OS 5.1 or later
  • iPhone / iPad iOS5 or later

Will you train my guards on how to use the app?

Our Customer Success team will train your company's main point of contact thoroughly during an initial kick-off call and provide ongoing 1-on-1 support on a need-be basis.

For all of your officers, we offer a company-branded Handheld App Guard Training Manual, a comprehensive guide for using the app in the field,  as well as a Guard Traning video series.

Do you supply the phones?

We currently do not provide any devices.

We suggest supplying your team with slightly used or refurbished devices or having officers BYOD (bring your own device).

What happens if my guards don’t have cell service?

Officers can save all activity from the field locally on their device and upload it to the issue monitor as soon as they receive cell service or an internet connection again.

All data will still be time & GPS stamped once uploaded.

Where do I get NFC tags, QR Codes, or bar codes?

QR Codes are built directly within the Silvertrac app. See how it works here.

NFC Tags and Bar Codes can be purchased from one of many online suppliers such as My Asset Tag or Go To Tags. Learn more about them here.

What are the setup fees & how long does it take to get the software?
